That Guy: Update

So here's what's going on.

The first chapter lines were done before my French class started over five weeks ago. However, when I looked back to them – I’ll be perfectly honest – they looked like crap. Since then, I’ve rewritten the first chapter, reorganized the pages and panels and redone the lines for the first four pages. I’ve finished the first two pages entirely, but I kept the original sketch for the lines instead of redoing the lines over again in photoshop. It looks messy, but I actually kinda like it that way.

I’ve put up a quick sketch that I did while waiting in the dentist’s office today of some of the new characters that will be seen soon.

As you can see - I've written when they might appear. It's all subject to change. The first for pages of chapter 1 will be posted before Sunday evening, hopefully.

That Guy and His Friends

So, earlier today, my friend Megan and I tested out our transportation plan for getting to the community college for the next three to for weeks. It was pretty good. We have to get up at about five in the morning for everything to work out though, but, I think that learning french will be worth it. Funny story about the college though - We were in the bookstore, and this store doesn't just have books, it has other crap, but it's good crap, such as sweet art supplies. I figure that before my classes end for summer, I'm going to stock on all that stuff.

Anyway, I've decided to turn Simply Elementary into my production site. Which is good. I like that. So, as first order of business, I'm currently producing a "slice of life" comic. The introduction can be found on my deviantART account here. It is a work that I have entitled, "That Guy and His Friends".

Basically, it's the story of that guy. We've all experienced the mystery that is "that guy". You normally don't want to be him. He's the one who is clicking his pen in class during a lecture. He's the kind of guy that would work for hours just thinking up ideas on how to achieve something that requires as little work as possible. He's the guy who has trouble opening up that new CD or DVD because it's coated in industrial armor that is that damn stubborn plastic wrap. I don't want to give too much about it away. We pretty much follow this guy, and the "adventures" that he has as being a somewhat unlucky person who really just doesn't care. It doesn't sound like much right now, because if I told you more, then I would be giving a bunch of the story away, and that wouldn't be good.

So, I'm most definitely going to be using this blogger account to support my comic. Most likely I'm going to do things like post previews here, so it doesn't have to go on deviantART, and do some sort of news bulletin - stuff like that.
Please look forward to this.

More to come later.

1st Entry: Hello...

Hello Blogger!!! I am here, and I am ready to talk about my life. Let me begin to do so by giving you the briefest recap of what my life has been for the past few months. When I say, "past few months", I mean that I'm going to start at about late July 2007 of last year. So, Here we go!

Late July/early August of last year, I finally purchased a pen tablet, which I used to make the "Hey Look That's Me!" pic! That was definitely exciting. When I finally got my tablet, as soon as i was ready, I created a DeviantArt account. Consequently, I made many new friends. ^-^ That's not a bad thing at all.

The rest of the year 2007 went by as quickly as ever. Marching season wasn't as dreadful as I thought it would be, (yes, I am in high school, and I play one of those instrument things) and I really am looking forward to next season. Going along with the topic of school and school related activity, we finally received next season's marching show. Its title will very, but it will go along the lines of "Fate's Wings". There are many themes from famous composer's incorporated into it. That is probably one of the reasons that I like it so much.

Another big event of 2007 was the Fire Storm. I live in a small town in the Southern California region, and my family and I were forced to evacuate. I got out off school for about a week and half. I was considerably happy when I learned that those days didn't have to be made up because the governor declared the fires as a state of emergency. During that time, my family and I stayed with my aunt. That was fun.

Moving onto the begins of 2008, I recall that my first computer, my desktop HP crashed. I was certainly devastated because I lost all of my precious stuff! A few days later, my dad thought it would be best to just give me his HP laptop, as he was going to be receiving a newer one from his work. So I am typing to you from my laptop.

In February, my brother got into a car accident. He suffered a broken leg. Though he is getting better everyday, and he no longer needs a leg brace, he is still required to walk with a cane. He actually finds this kind of funny. He has really became an admirer of the FOX channel 6 drama "House". He will be walking with a cane for quite some time, as he has already looked into purchasing a replica flame cane like that of Dr. House.

I'm currently doing not so good in honors pre-calculus, so I made my school schedule such so that next year, I will not be taking a math course. (YES!) I'm so sick and tired of math. My schedule is constructed as what a high school senior's school schedule should be. I have enough credits to graduate halfway through the school year, but I am choosing to graduate with my friends. I'm only taking three academic classes (that honestly don't seem to be academic at all...except for economics/government...) and the rest are electives! Ah, and I'm taking French lessons over the summer with a friend of mine.

Truly, that is as brief as this wrap-up was going to get. Really, I was only typing the gist of things. I didn't intend for this entry to be this long. I do pledge to keep this little blog going! ^-^
